Build Overview

Twister Spirit Walker is the consensus clear-speed king of 0.5. Twister throws out persistent spinning vortices; with Projectile Acceleration and Retreat they scatter across the screen and wipe entire packs instantly. Wild Protector summons a guardian beast for support and triggers, and Ice-Tipped Arrows stack cold for freeze control. It's high-mobility, high-clear, and — crucially — works without any uniques, making it one of the smoothest league-start-into-mapping builds.

Gameplay Loop

1. Throw Twister vortices; Projectile Acceleration + Retreat spread them across the screen;
2. Summon Wild Protector for buffs and triggers;
3. Stack cold with Ice-Tipped Arrows to freeze packs;
4. Keep Combat Frenzy frenzy charges up for attack speed and damage;
5. Dash and shock with Vivid Stampede, and shore up defence with Purity of Fire.

Leveling

Twister levels very smoothly. Take Primal Bounty first (projectile scaling makes the vortices wilder), then The Mhacha's Gift. Early on just stack life, triple resistances and projectile speed — no uniques required. Freeze control keeps it forgiving, so it's beginner-accessible clear-speed.

Gear (real setup)

• Ring — The Taming: consolidates multiple elemental-ailment bonuses — the damage core;
• Helmet — The Black Insignia: grants mobility buffs (Tailwind) and is cheap to pick up;
• Weapon swap — Sacred Flame: an offhand swap for buffs;
• Charm — Valako's Roar: lightning / charge buffs;
• Lavianga's Spirits flask for mana; the From Nothing jewel for scaling.
• Everything else is just high-life, triple-res, projectile-speed rares.

Passives & Ascendancy

Ascendancy order: Primal Bounty → The Mhacha's Gift → (fill projectile / defence as needed). The 157-point tree prioritises projectile damage and speed, cold/elemental damage, crit, life and evasion; the vortex spread and freeze control are the twin cores of its clear and survivability.
