Warrior · Smith of Kitava · Habilidad principal: Shield Wall · Patch 0.5.4

por POE2Builds Editorial · actualizado 2026-07-11

Against the Anvil 授予 Temper Weapon,让攻击附加火伤并造成火焰爆炸;Living Weapon 授予 Manifest Weapon 召唤自动攻击的武器。整体是新手友好、抗压极高的开荒/终局全能战士。

Smith of Kitava Shield Wall Warrior — Build Guide (0.5.4)

Build Overview

Smith of Kitava Shield Wall Warrior plants a Shield Wall for damage while layering fire conversion and the Smith's equipment-buffing kit for both tankiness and steady output. The Smith's hallmark is Smith's Masterwork: your body armour can only be Normal grade, but that unlocks a whole set of equipment-buff sub-skills (like Heatproofing and Kitavan Engraving) that push elemental mitigation sky-high. Against the Anvil grants Temper Weapon, adding fire damage and fire explosions on hit, and Living Weapon summons a Manifest Weapon to swing for you.

Gameplay Loop

  1. Buff your weapon with Temper Weapon for fire empowerment (refresh periodically);
  2. Plant Shield Wall as a damage-and-block barrier and bulldoze forward;
  3. Infernal Cry to detonate, shred resistance and amplify fire, Fortifying Cry for mitigation;
  4. Keep Manifest Weapon auto-attacking and use Sunder on tough single targets;
  5. Move with Shield Charge, block via Shield Block + shield, and keep Scavenged Plating up for armour.

Leveling

Level with Sunder + Leap Slam, using Infernal Cry to detonate corpses. Take Smith's Masterwork first to swap into a Normal body armour and set its buff sub-skills, then Against the Anvil for Temper Weapon's fire damage. Stack armour + life + triple resistances early; the fire conversion matures later.

Gear

Use a Fortified Hammer with added fire, physical% and attack speed, and a Rampart Tower Shield offhand for block and mitigation. Your body armour must be a Normal Full Plate (the Smith's Masterwork restriction), topped up by its buff sub-skills. Everything else stacks armour, life and triple resistances; Ruby Ring caps fire res and Bloodstone Amulet adds life and melee gem level.

Passives

Ascendancy order: Smith's Masterwork → Against the Anvil → Forged in Flame / Coal Stoker → Heat of the Forge / Living Weapon. On the tree, prioritise melee/physical damage, armour, block and life, then fire conversion and warcry buffs. The Smith uses its equipment-buff sub-skills to max out elemental mitigation.

FAQ

Q: Isn't a Normal-only body armour a loss?

Smith's Masterwork compensates with a full set of equipment-buff sub-skills; the elemental mitigation and utility usually outweigh a single rare body armour.

Q: How does this differ from the Titan Shield Wall?

The skill core is similar, but the Smith leans on fire conversion + equipment buffs for mitigation while the Titan scales giant/area; their ascendancy mechanics and curves are entirely different.

Q: Is it good for beginners?

Very much so. In 0.5 the Smith is widely regarded as one of the safest starter ascendancies — tanky, forgiving and smooth to level.
