Build Overview

Hollow Form is the most popular mid-league Monk archetype in 0.5. Hollow Form channels to summon clones that each cast a melee skill; paired with Whirling Assault (an eight-hit spin) the clone swarm repeats the attack into a wall of whirling damage. The buff engine is Hollow Focus — endlessly generated "bells" keep refreshing your buffs so crit, charges and added damage stay up almost permanently. It's a high-mobility, high-clear, freeze-controlling melee.

Gameplay Loop

1. Hollow Form channels out clones that each perform a Whirling Assault;
2. Hollow Focus continuously refreshes buffs (bells), keeping crit and charges up;
3. Generate energy charges reliably via Lochtonial Caress (Way of the Stonefist);
4. Control with Freezing Mark + cold crit freezes, and dash in with Pounce;
5. Wind Dancer + Ghost Dance provide evasion and an energy-shield defensive layer.

Leveling

Bridge the early game with straight Monk melee skills. Take Way of the Stonefist (charge generation) and Hollow Form Technique to bring the clone mechanic online, then Hollow Focus Technique for the bell-refresh rhythm. Early on, focus on smooth charge generation plus freeze control; once damage comes together, clear speed is excellent.

• Weapon swap — Amor Mandragora to extend buff duration; Lavianga's Spirits for mana;
• Jewels use uniques (Heart of the Well / Against the Darkness) for defence and added damage.

Passives & Ascendancy

Ascendancy order: Way of the Stonefist → Hollow Form Technique → Hollow Focus Technique → Way of the Mountain. The 150-point tree prioritises melee/physical and elemental damage, crit, charges, life and evasion; clone output and bell-refresh are the build's damage-and-sustain core.
