Blasphemy Cursebot Lich — Full Guide (0.5.4)

Source: maxroll.gg/poe2/build-guides/blasphemy-cursebot-lich-endgame-build-guide Version: Path of Exile 2 — 0.5.4 Class: Witch → Lich | Main skills: Blasphemy (curse auras)

Build Overview

This is a party-play-only support Lich. The Blasphemy gem converts multiple curse skills into permanent auras that automatically debuff everything near you, while the Lich ascendancy nodes Necromantic Conduit / Blackened Heart grant Unholy Might to your allies — scaled off your maximum mana — amplifying the whole group's damage.

Straight from the guide: "Your core revolves around applying Enfeeble, Vulnerability, Despair, and Temporal Chains though Blasphemy."

In short, it's a "0-button build": walk up to your teammates, walk into the packs, and the auras buff your allies and stack debuffs on the monsters automatically. "Bosses that should be threatening start feeling like level 1 white mobs; they move slower, deal less damage."

Pros & Cons

Cons

Skills In Depth

Leveling

The guide assumes you've finished the campaign and hit lvl 68+ before swapping into this build, so there's no dedicated leveling setup. Level with any familiar Witch starter (Spark / Bone Spear / a generic minion setup).

Mapping

Blasphemy is the container, permanently hosting these 4 curses:

Skill Icon Effect
Enfeeble Reduces enemy damage dealt
Vulnerability Increases physical damage taken, shreds armour
Despair Lowers chaos resistance, amplifies Rupture the Soul
Temporal Chains Slows — massively suppresses boss attack and action speed

Bossing

Boss tactics are identical to mapping — wrap the boss in your curse auras and stand inside your carry's presence range to keep them buffed:

"walk around, curse stuff, stay in range of your carry to buff them, and loot the Divine Orbs."

Auras / Buffs

The Alpha's Howl helmet doubles your presence radius — you can stand further back, still buff the carry, and stay safer.

The ascendancy's Unholy Might is the core ally buff, and its damage scales with your maximum mana — which is why every gear slot revolves around Int / max Mana / Spirit.

Physical variant:

"For the Phys variant, switch to sceptre with attack speed and replace Elemental Weakness with Vulnerability in your Blasphemy."

Skill Rotation

There is no rotation. This is a 0-button build — Blasphemy applies every curse automatically, and Incessant Cacophony keeps enemies cursed even after they leave the aura.

Ascendancy (Lich)

Take the nodes in order:

  1. Necromantic Conduit & Blackened Heart (first cluster) — grants Unholy Might to nearby allies, scaling with your maximum mana.
  2. Incessant Cacophony (second cluster) — curses persist after monsters leave the aura — a huge mapping smoothness upgrade.
  3. Rupture the Soul (third cluster) — cursed enemies that die explode with chaos damage across the party's area; combined with Despair / Darkness Enthroned's -chaos res, it's considered one of the strongest keystones in the game.

Passive Tree

Priorities / Key Notables

The guide's planner identifiers are CURSEBOTLICHPLANNER2GUIDE / j0mit0o0 — open the maxroll planner in a browser for the full node sequence.

Stat Priority

Offense

Stat Notes
Intelligence Your main damage amplifier — converts to max Mana, which scales the Unholy Might you give allies
Curse Effect Curse effect bonuses, stacked via ascendancy and jewellery
Allies' Damage (sceptre) A perfectly rolled sceptre alone gives allies ~240% extra damage (before attack speed / crit / added elemental)
Attack Speed (phys variant) The physical variant wants sceptre attack speed

Defense

Stat Notes
Energy Shield Your only real defensive resource. Original: "It is very important to itemize your character with as much Energy Shield as possible"
Maximum Mana Dual-purpose — a defensive buffer AND the basis of Unholy Might
Resistances Cap the standard three via gear
Chaos Resistance Not needed — Chaos Inoculation grants immunity

Gearing

Campaign / Early Mapping

The guide assumes the campaign is done; no dedicated leveling gear is listed.

Endgame Recommendations

Slot Recommendation Key mods
Body Armour Vile Robe (Unique) High ES + resistances + Int
Weapon Sceptre (any base) "allies damage" mods, stackable to ~240%; plus attack speed / crit damage / added elemental
Helmet Alpha's Howl (Unique) Doubles presence radius; swap for a pure ES helmet if you keep dying
Gloves The Prisoner's Manacles (Unique) Slow magnitude +~30% — bosses in slow motion
Boots Rare 100+ Mana, Int, 30–35% movement speed
Belt Darkness Enthroned (Unique) "invaluable" — holds soul cores; grants +24% extra damage against cursed targets and -20% chaos res
Amulet Rare Must have the The Howling Primate glyph + +50 Spirit; plus Mana / Int / triple res
Ring 1 Doedre's Damning (Unique) Mandatory if you want to hang one more curse
Ring 2 Grip of Kulemak (Unique) Or a breach ring (Mana / Mana% / Int / res)

Mana Sustain

The Lich core is stacking Mana (not mana recovery) — every slot should carry Mana and Int where possible.

Also track Spirit (to fund the auras):

"If for some reason you're lacking spirit, you can drop the 30% allies damage runes in your scepter for spirit runes."

Tips & Tricks

Summary

Blasphemy Cursebot Lich is a support build made entirely for group content. It deals no damage of its own; instead, curse auras + Unholy Might + Rupture the Soul double (or better) your carry's output while leaving bosses slow, sluggish, and resistance-shredded. The skill floor is as low as it gets (0 buttons) — but it only makes sense in a party.

"This is a 0 button build that is HIGHLY effective and can buff your group's damage by double if not more."
